1920s Scottish Silver Celtic Knot Onyx and Carnelian Bracelet
An ode to the Scottish highlands, this silver, carnelian, and onyx bracelet features Celtic knot links with repoussé detailing. Sugarloaf cut carnelian and onyx alternate with silver links in a simplified Celtic knot featuring the infinity symbol. The circular component of each link is enhanced with subtle repoussé floral patterning reminiscent of the Scottish triquetra, or trinity symbol. The carnelian sugarloafs are rounded at the apex while the cut of the onyx comes to a point; each stone is set in a sawtooth bezel. The color of the carnelian is rich and luminous, the perfect complement to the deepest black onyx. We believe this stunning bracelet dates to the late 1920s or 1930s.
Measures approximately 7" long. The stones in their settings are 1/2" by 1/2" each. Hallmarked "Sterling" on the spring ring. This piece is in excellent vintage condition and weighs 20.9 grams.
